A new fraud method has appeared in Yaroslavl. Fraudsters use Trojan horses. First, the victim receives an email containing a malicious link. As soon as the money transfer is completed, the virus penetrates your phone. After that, the phone screen is locked, and the victim receives an "avalanche" of messages about the withdrawal of funds. Finally, a bank employee calls me. In order to "cancel the transaction" or "save the remaining money", he asks for a code to access your finances.
- In fact, this code is needed by fraudsters to access your personal account and exploit your finances. Install a reliable antivirus on your smartphone and update it regularly," said Andrey Kotsenko, a cybersecurity expert at the Yaroslavl branch of the Bank of Russia.
