MPs explain connection between childfree bill and childlessness tax idea
Moscow, October 17, FederalPress. The Russian Duma has suggested the possibility of introducing a tax on childlessness. At the same time, legislators were convinced that the bill banning the promotion of a childless lifestyle has nothing to do with this idea.
Deputy Elvira Aitkulova emphasized that the package of bills has absolutely nothing to do with the introduction of a tax on childlessness. She added that the issue of introducing a tax on childless citizens "was not even discussed" in the Duma, TASS reports.
Earlier, the State Duma Committee on Information Policy recommended adopting the bill on the ban on propaganda of the ideology of children's freedom in the first reading. We will publish the details of the decision in the FederalPress article.
