Funds are being raised for treatment for a teenager from the Novosibirsk region

According to the AiF-Novosibirsk portal, 17-year-old Vadim Yevsyukov from Novosibirsk is currently raising money for treatment, since he is confined to a wheelchair after swimming in the Ob Reservoir.

According to his mother, the tragedy occurred in 2022, when the man and his friends went on vacation to the Novosibirsk Ob Reservoir. There, Vadim decided to jump into the water straight from the pier, but the reservoir here turned out to be shallow, resulting in a complex fracture of the cervical spine.

"All his organs were damaged, and he couldn't breathe. Even after emergency surgery, his condition remained serious, my son was in skeletal traction, his legs were paralyzed, complications arose," Vadim's mother said.

Now the guy is trying to return to his old life thanks to the fact that he still has sports skills.

"Vadim went to the gym, sat in a wheelchair and started playing table tennis. I study remotely at the university. This summer, he was able to take his first steps in a walker after an injury," the teenager's mother said.

She also noted that specialists from the Moscow region rehabilitation center "Three Sisters" helped Vadim get back on his feet, and "Rusfond" helped raise money for the course.

Now we just need to raise another 250,000 rubles for a new course of treatment.
