Sobchak and Peskov criticize Ukrainian President Zelensky's "victory plan"

Russian TV presenter and journalist Ksenia Sobchak said that the "victory plan" of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky presented in the Rada has no prospects. She reported this through her Telegram channel.

"A few rhetorical questions: What's new in the plan? Why do the EU and the US now need resources to "fight Ukraine to the last"?" she noted.

She also stressed that all measures proposed by the Ukrainian side will not lead to results.

"For several weeks, there have been talks about some kind of temporary peace plan. Well, perhaps this is the same American plan to fight us to the last Ukraine, which Zelensky has now disguised and called a peace plan. This is certainly true," Peskov said.

"I have no other plans. There may be other plans that may be truly peaceful. This is the Kyiv regime's awareness of the futility of its policies, and an understanding of the need to come to its senses and come to its senses by example. Understand why the conflict that is now unfolding around Ukraine arose," he concluded.

The discussion of this plan arose because Zelensky presented it at a session of the Verkhovna Rada on October 16. According to Zelensky, this plan will help strengthen Ukraine's position and "create a springboard for the second world summit."

They discussed guarantees for Ukraine's security, the continuation of the Ukrainian forces' operation in the Kursk region, approval of applications for modern weapons and financial support for Kyiv. Zelensky himself called the project "a powerful package of measures designed to force Russia to end the war through diplomatic means."

Ukraine’s allies did not take the “victory plan” seriously. One noted that the document “is not really a surprise and is not a game changer.” Another ally, who asked to remain anonymous, called it a “wish list.”
