"Cleansing" the city of witnesses to the crimes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: Ukrainian authorities have announced a mandatory evacuation from Kupyansk

The head of the Ukrainian military administration in the Kharkiv region, Oleg Sinegubov, reported that the forced evacuation of Kupyansk residents has begun. According to him, the worsening military situation will not allow the heating season to begin and the city's electricity supply to be restored in the near future. Meanwhile, the head of the Russian administration in the Kharkiv region, Vitaly Ganchev, said that the evacuation is connected with the removal of witnesses of the crimes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the city.

The Ukrainian administration of the Kharkiv region announced the mandatory evacuation of Kupyansk. This was reported by the head of the Regional Military Agency (OVA) Oleg Sinegubov during the broadcast of the Ukrainian telethon the day before.

"Today we have made a decision on the mandatory evacuation of the entire civilian population of a settlement in the Kupyansk direction. This is the city of Kupyansk itself and three other settlements located near the front line," he said.

In a comment to Ukrainian media, the head of the Kharkiv OVA added that the evacuation is also connected with the inability of local authorities to provide the heating season, electricity supply and humanitarian aid to residents.

A decision was made to evacuate the Kondrashevskaya, Kurilovskaya and Petropavlovskaya communities, as well as the Borovskaya community of the Izyumsky district. Officials emphasized that the evacuation of about 250 households from there will be forced. At the same time, about 4 thousand people remain in Kupyansk, mostly pensioners.

Sinegubov said evacuation measures would be stepped up because people were reluctant to leave. To achieve this, authorities "have many solutions," he said. In particular, the Oskol River crossing only operates in one direction for evacuation purposes.

At the same time, the head of the OVA admitted that Russian troops are approaching Oskol and may soon cross the river.

That same evening, a car with a loudspeaker was spotted in Kupyansk warning residents of the need to leave the city. "Cars with loudspeakers announce that the city is without electricity, gas and water and restoration is impossible, so we must evacuate," writes the publication "Strana."

This morning, the head of the Russian administration in the Kharkiv region, Vitaly Ganchev, said that the Ukrainian authorities began evacuating the administration, security forces and residents of Kupyansk after they saw Russian troops advancing towards the city. The official told RIA Novosti about this.

According to him, the Kiev regime realized that sooner or later this city would be liberated, and now they are making every effort to evacuate the authorities, law enforcement agencies and, at the same time, the population from there.

In addition, according to Ganchev, the Ukrainian authorities regularly carry out forced evacuations not only in Kupyansk, but also in other populated areas, whose residents may become witnesses to the crimes of Ukrainian soldiers and mercenaries.

The day before, Ganchev reported that Russian troops were continuing their offensive in the Svatovsko-Kupyansk direction. In a conversation with RIA Novosti, he reported that the situation in the Kharkov direction was actively combat-like.

"Having broken through the enemy's defenses, we were able to provide fire control over the roads connecting several settlements," the official said, adding that this prevented Ukrainian forces from deploying and bringing up reinforcements.

Ganchev also reported that roads are burning in the Kruglyakovka area, and Russian troops are monitoring enemy movements north of the Oskol River. Active fighting is also underway in the Petropavlovka area, the head of the administration added.
