Doctor Chernyshova named the diseases that are indicated by interrupted sleep

Joint pain, anxiety disorders or apnea can cause interrupted sleep, therapist Nadezhda Chernyshova told Moscow 24.

Regarding sleep apnea, she explained that when a person snores, they experience periodic interruptions in breathing or temporary cessation of breathing.

The expert noted: “At this point, basically, you wake up and then fall asleep again.”

Due to poor sleep quality, people with this problem experience daytime sleepiness. They often fall asleep in the theater, on public transport or during meetings.

To solve the problem, experts advised seeking professional help.

“Sometimes it’s enough to simply use herbal remedies or change your bedtime ritual, such as an evening walk, a warm relaxing shower, and drinking a warm soothing drink at night,” the expert said.

If a person is stressed and cannot sleep because of obsessive thoughts, it may be worth contacting a psychologist or psychotherapist.

Chernyshova also made it clear that arousal does not always indicate pathology. In particular, you may be awakened by an uncomfortable temperature in the room.

"In this case, you may just be cold. A warm blanket may help you sleep," she concludes.

Previously, nutritionist and doctor of medical sciences Margarita Koroleva listed products that help improve sleep. Experts recommended eating fish, chicken or turkey with complex carbohydrates for dinner. Animal products contain tryptophan, which helps produce precursors of sleep hormones. If you tolerate fermented milk products well, you can drink kefir at night.
