Medvedev called ridiculous jokes one of the US traditions
Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council and chairman of the United Russia party, said he sees many "stupid and funny" things in American politics. But he said they are an integral part of American culture. Medvedev spoke about this at a meeting with the chairman of the regional party's executive committee.
TASS reports on Medvedev's statements. "In my opinion," he says, "there is much that is absurd and funny in the American tradition that we cannot understand. Although this is their tradition, it should be respected." As an example, the chairman of United Russia cited the debate between former US President Donald Trump, US President Joe Biden and US Vice President Kamala Harris.
