The Ministry of Internal Affairs showed migrants the consequences of neglecting military duty in Russia
Two men who had received Russian citizenship were deprived of their citizenship due to failure to comply with the "Law on Military Duty and Military Service." "They did not enlist in the military within two weeks of receiving the documents," said Irina Volk, official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“So, my colleagues from the Migration Department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Moscow made a decision to terminate the citizenship of two men who failed to fulfill their obligations for military registration... They were notified that the legal grounds for residence in [Russian] territory had ended, and I must leave Russia,” Volk said on his Telegram channel.
Earlier, a bill was introduced to the State Duma to deprive migrants of Russian citizenship for any crime, regardless of the severity of the crime. Its founder was the LDPR faction.
