Biden Announces $425 Million Aid Package in Talk with Zelensky

US President Joe Biden announced a $425 million military aid package for Kyiv during a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the White House website reported.

Zelensky wrote on his Telegram channel that in a conversation with Biden, he thanked the United States for its unwavering support for Ukraine since the fighting began. “President Biden’s leadership in uniting the world and America’s strong bipartisan support have been critical to Ukraine’s survival,” he said.
The Ukrainian leader also told his American counterpart that he had presented his "victory plan" to the Verkhovna Rada and that it had received parliamentary support. Zelensky plans to present this at a meeting of the European Council on October 17.
In particular, Zelensky's "peace plan" includes inviting Ukraine to NATO until the end of the conflict, strengthening the country's defense, and developing a "comprehensive package of non-nuclear strategic deterrence."
