Meloni said Italy will continue funding UNRWA
Italy has allocated 5 million euros to finance the work of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in the West Bank. Part of the funds will be used to support Palestinian refugees in Syria, Lebanon and Jordan, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni told parliament.
Rome previously suspended funding to UNRWA after Israel accused several agency employees of having links to Hamas.
