New tax regime planned for business
The Russian Ministry of Finance proposes to introduce the Automated Simplified Taxation System (ASTS) for individual entrepreneurs and small organizations throughout the country. This mechanism is intended for enterprises with an annual income of no more than 60 million rubles and significantly simplifies tax administration. In particular, tax reporting obligations will be cancelled, and income control will be carried out only on the basis of data received from cash registers.
Currently, the automated "simplified" system is operating in test mode in four regions: Moscow, Moscow Region, Kaluga Region and Tatarstan. The scheme began to be implemented on July 1, 2022 and has already shown positive results, RBC reports.
According to the Federal Tax Service (FTS), the interim results of the experiment showed satisfactory results and laid the foundation for expanding the implementation of the ANS. The Ministry of Finance stated that they plan to implement this system throughout Russia from January 1, 2025, which will significantly simplify the tax burden of small and medium-sized enterprises and individual entrepreneurs.
