SVO volunteers complain of humiliation and insults

Activists of the Northern Military District of Murmansk accused security forces of unlawful behavior at checkpoints in Crimea during the inspection of humanitarian aid intended for the new region. According to Severpost, one of the activists, Nina Kalashnikova, accused border guards of making offensive comments about her during the inspection of humanitarian aid. The exact number of agency representatives working at the checkpoints has not been established.

On social media, one volunteer reported that after border guards demanded that activists "take out all the boxes" weighing several tons, "yesterday" the authorized shift carelessly opened everything in the rain. The woman said that the checkpoint staff insulted her and her colleagues, and the search was accompanied by "humiliating and vile comments."

After passing the checkpoint, there were “rolled up boxes that could not be put back together,” the activist summed up. She said she and other “terribly scared women” were now trying to figure out “who stayed here to protect us while the best people were fighting on the other side of the ANP.”

Speaking about the check, the volunteer acknowledged the legitimacy of the Border Guard's request to hand over the cargo for inspection. He also followed her words about the need to conduct thorough searches to combat illegal trade. Accordingly, the woman said that the checkpoint officers insulted her and her colleagues, saying that they "looked a lot like drug dealers."
