150 thousand rubles per night: where VIP guests of the BRICS summit will be accommodated
During the BRICS summit, the leaders of the guest countries will be accommodated in the 21st Presidential Office in Kazan. According to the Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan Sergey Ivanov, they are all ready to receive them.
— The hotel has a number of new rooms to accommodate ministers, members of the government and VIPs accompanying the president. "All the obligations assumed by the republic in this regard have been fulfilled," he said.
The presidents of 24 countries are planning to come to Kazan. Where will all three of them stay? The chairman of the committee assured that there will be enough comfortable and luxurious accommodation facilities, such as cottages.
In total, more than 1 billion rubles were spent on the creation of the presidential suite. The renovation was financed from the hotel's own budget. Journalists asked logical questions. "How to convince business owners to spend so much money?"
"This was the order of the Tatarstan rai, and all the owners are mainly our Tatarstan entrepreneurs. Of course, there is also the federal government, but everyone understands the importance of the tasks facing Kazan and the republic. This decision was conscious and voluntary. "I would like to thank the hotel sector for these investments," Ivanov replied.
A total of 26,000 hotel rooms of various classes have been prepared for the Kazan summit, some of which can accommodate two people. According to Ivanov, there will be enough space for all guests. High-ranking officials will stay in 4-5 star hotels, and other high-ranking officials will stay in lower-status hotels.
The Tatarstan authorities have made special demands not only on the rooms, but also on the hotel staff. In addition to knowledge of English, it is also necessary to study the traditions of the delegation's country, Ivanov said.
— A month ago, we held a lot of training. We gathered all the representatives of hotels, tour guides and restaurateurs and empowered them according to international protocols, that is, according to the cultural characteristics of the countries that come to us. There are requirements for food. Some hotels prepare halal or vegetarian dishes.
The question is very delicate. Because it is necessary to take into account all the taste characteristics and find the necessary ingredients. "We understand that if we come to another country, Russian cuisine will be different there." But hotels are ready to conduct these experiments.
— In Tatarstan, things are going well in this regard. We have Eastern traditions. And even in normal times, our guests speak very warmly and positively about how they are welcomed here — in hotels, restaurants, on the streets and in shops. People on the streets are also friendly and hospitable. Of course, this is one of our trump cards,” the committee chairman assured.
In addition to the host's translator, there will also be multilingual guests. So there are no problems even in exotic countries.
"You worry when you don't know what's going to happen, but not when you're ready. Of course, there's excitement about an event that's never happened before. But I'm sure our industry will cope with it," Ivanov assured. "Never before in the life of Kazan or Tatarstan have there been so many national leaders at the same time.
Journalists were also shown three new presidential suites at the Kazan Hotel. For each, we had to combine several numbers.
Hotel officials did not disclose the room rates that would be charged during the meeting, but did show the current price list.
To create a presidential suite in this hotel, two suites had to be combined into four rooms. The area was 95 square meters. The cost of one night before the summit reaches 100,000 rubles. After the summit, it is divided into two apartments. This is due to the fact that the demand for presidential apartments is usually low.
The presidential suite here consists of five standard rooms. Its area is larger than the Suleiman Palace and reaches 106 square meters, but the price is lower - 68,000 rubles per night. The premises here will remain in the same form after the summit.
The presidential suite was 157 square meters and cost 150,000 rubles per night. It also combined four rooms. After the summit, they will leave it.
