Five-year-old girl poisoned by lily of the valley berry while on holiday near St. Petersburg
A five-year-old girl with acute poisoning from lily of the valley berries was taken to a children's hospital in St. Petersburg on October 13. This became known to 78.ru.
According to sources, the girl ate dangerous fruits during training at a recreation center in Toksovo. The victim is currently in a moderate condition and is under medical supervision.
78.ru recently wrote about a similar case. It was named after the city children's hospital No. 5 due to poisoning by lily-of-the-valley fruits at the end of September. Filatov had a two-year-old child.
As biologist Pavel Glazkov explained, lily of the valley berries look very appetizing, but they are poisonous to both humans and animals, and should never be eaten.
