Russian Embassy in Norway Reduces Diplomatic Staff
Representatives of the Russian diplomatic mission in Norway said that Norwegian authorities had demanded that the number of personnel be reduced by October 17. Now only two diplomats will work in the consular section.
At the same time, diplomats assured that the embassy is taking all necessary measures to ensure consular reception of citizens for all types of services. However, the possibilities of individual home service for vulnerable people will be limited, and the hours of reception of visitors will increase in the spring before the holidays.
The Russian Consulates General in Svalbard and Kirkenes have announced that they will suspend consular visits until further notice.
