"Germany cannot supply Leopard 2 to Ukraine, so it has decided to remove Leopard 1 from storage and supply it to Ukraine," he said.
The expert later added that the humiliation became even greater when it turned out that the combat vehicle was in "not very good condition."
At the same time, the German army itself faced a shortage of combat vehicles and equipment, the expert concluded.
Earlier, Bild reported that the Germans would no longer be able to supply large-scale military equipment to the Ukrainian army.
As noted in the publication, Ukraine will no longer receive Leopard 2 tanks. However, the Bundeswehr still has about 300 of these vehicles. A similar situation is happening with infantry fighting vehicles and tank howitzers.
