Alex Proyas, director of "I, Robot," blames social media
The presentation featured the Tesla CyberCap driverless taxi, Optimus Android, and the Robovan driverless bus. The Internet soon noted that the design of the presented device resembled the aesthetics of Proyas's film.
“Hey Elon, can you bring back my design?” the director said, adding a collage of stills from the film and the new Tesla model to social media.
Tesla held a big presentation on October 11. At the event, the company showed off dozens of self-driving taxis that can navigate around the area on their own. In one of them, Musk drove his car on stage. He then told me that since the new taxi will have no pedals or steering wheel, it will be ten times easier to drive than a regular car.
