Lenkom reported changes in the play "The Cherry Orchard" due to Zbruev's hospitalization
People's Artist of the RSFSR Alexander Zbruev will not be able to appear on stage at the Moscow State Theatre "Mark Zakharov's Lenkom" in the near future. Honored Artist of Russia Vladimir Eremin will replace him at the performance "The Cherry Orchard" on October 22.
"Alexander Viktorovich is a great artist who cannot be replaced, but we must do so. He will definitely play in the next production," the head of the institution, Mark Varshaver, said in an interview with the Moscow Agency.
Eremin will play the role of Leonid Gaev in the play. Commenting on this castling, he noted that the question of Zbruev's return to the stage remains open. According to him, the theater hopes that the actors will be able to play nobles and landowners again.
The 86-year-old artist was taken to a Moscow hospital on October 4 due to poor health. According to media reports, he was under the supervision of doctors who were trying to establish the cause of his illness.
Later, the Lenkom named after Mark Zakharov reported that Zbruev was in a good mood and was communicating at work. According to the theater, the artist was undergoing regular examination after a complex operation. He got to the medical facility on his own.
