Former Beeline Owner to Move from Amsterdam to Dubai

The international telecommunications company VEON, which owns the Russian company VimpelCom (brand Beeline), is moving its headquarters from Amsterdam to Dubai. This was announced by the company's press service.

The Dutch company owned the Russian assets until 2023, after which a group of top managers of the domestic VimpelCom, headed by CEO Alexander Torbakhov, closed the deal to purchase them. According to the terms of the deal, 100% of the PJSC will reportedly go to Kopernik-Invest 3 OJSC, which is owned by five businessmen.

The current decision to move to VEON was described as a strategic refocus on proximity to key markets, “including capitalising on the huge opportunities Dubai offers”.
