Bastrykin took an interest in the Tyumen hospital where a woman had her intestines damaged

In the Tyumen regional hospital, after treatment and intervention, the patient's intestines were damaged during the procedure, and the woman died. The incident occurred in 2021. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin ordered the completion of the criminal case investigation as soon as possible, the agency's information center reported.

"The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed the head of the Investigative Committee for the Tyumen Region of Russia, Alexander Kublyakov, and the federal government body, the Center for Forensic Experts of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, to take measures to speed up the conduct of forensic examinations and complete the investigation of criminal cases as soon as possible and submit a report on this," says a statement from the Information Center of the Investigative Committee of Russia, which oversees the execution of the order.

The woman reportedly visited a medical facility for a routine check-up. She was hospitalized with an intestinal injury. However, after two surgeries, she died.
