"Queen of the Skies" to Arrive at Sochi Airport

The Boeing 747-400 of Rossiya Airlines will land at Sochi airport for the first time in two years on October 13. In aviation jargon, it is called "Jumbo" or "Queen of the Sky". It can accommodate up to 522 passengers.

- Even in the off-season, the demand for the Moscow-Sochi route is still high. Therefore, the decision to operate flights on wide-body aircraft is quite understandable. The Boeing 747-400 is designed for 522 passengers, the airport press service said in a statement.

Flight SU/FV6717-6718 will be operated by aircraft with tail number RA-73286, named after the city of Nizhny Novgorod. The flight to Sochi will be the first since the aircraft was removed from storage.

The liner arrives at the resort at 18:20. It departs in the opposite direction at 20:10.

Let me remind you that Sochi is one of the three most popular destinations for air travel in the autumn season. Currently, the main resort airports of the Krasnodar Region are operating according to the spring-summer schedule. It is planned that it will operate until the end of October.
