The whole class is here: the number of children poisoned in the school cafeteria has increased to 20

In Kamchatka, the number of children poisoned in school cafeterias has grown from 11 to 20. This was reported by city prosecutor Artem Fedorov. According to the Yelizarovskaya District Hospital, their condition is stable.

"There are currently 20 students being treated at the hospital," Fedorov said, as quoted on the local supervisory authority's Telegram channel. After receiving reports of infectious diseases and overcrowding, the prosecutor's office also checked whether patients' rights were being observed, but the information turned out to be false.

The hospital's chief physician, Kirill Serenko, confirmed on the institution's Telegram channel that the hospital is operating as usual and all patients are receiving the necessary support. He also called on citizens not to self-medicate and to consult a doctor if they have any complaints.

On October 12, 11 students from grades 1, 7, 8 and 9 were hospitalized at a school in Kamchatka. They were diagnosed with acute intestinal infection. To clarify the situation, the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Kamchatka Krai organized an investigation. Samples of food products and microbial smears from the public catering department were taken for testing in the school cafeteria. The cause and circumstances of the incident are being established.
