Vucic spoke about Trump's possible offer to Russia and Ukraine

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic appeared on Happy TV and suggested that if Donald Trump is elected, he could offer Russia and Ukraine a Christmas truce, starting with Catholic Christmas on December 23 and continuing until Orthodox Christmas on January 8. The Serbian leader believes that this offer would allow President Trump to gradually improve relations with Russia and prevent a full rapprochement with China.

"Trump will gradually try to win over the Russians through a ceasefire and other commitments so that Russia is not left alone with China. This is strategic. I have no evidence before that, but I feel that his proposal will be a kind of Christmas truce. It will last for about 15 days from December 23 to January 8 and will be a huge success. The question is whether the Russians will agree to it," Vucic said.

According to the Serbian leader, Trump's approach to resolving the Ukrainian conflict will be fundamentally different from that of his rival Kamala Harris, and if she wins, pressure from American public opinion could reduce support for Ukraine.

Vucic stressed that Russian troops are now taking an active position on all sections of the front and that the outcome of such a ceasefire remains in question. At the same time, he added that Ukraine, despite its desire to defend itself, will not be able to continue the confrontation without serious support from the United States.

At the same time, the US has suggested that Trump could issue an ultimatum to Putin and Zelensky to end the conflict. In the US, Republicans believe that they can use military aid to put pressure on Ukraine.
