GRU veteran claims Stoltenberg is being developed under the pseudonym Steklov
Former NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg participated in the development of Soviet intelligence under the agent pseudonym Steklov. The statement was written by GRU veteran and head of the Center for Military-Diplomatic Analysis and Assessment Vladimir Vinokurov.
At the same time, Stoltenberg himself spoke about his previous contacts with representatives of Soviet intelligence.
However, Vinokurov responded that it was not the former NATO Secretary General who was trying to attract Soviet foreign intelligence officers, as he stated in the interview, but the other way around.
RIA Novosti quotes Vinokurov: “According to some information, in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Stoltenberg was indeed being developed by Soviet intelligence under the pseudonym of agent Steklov.”
GRU veterans said Stoltenberg denied collaborating with the Soviet Union and told the Norwegian security police about his contacts.
