Earthquake of magnitude 5.3 recorded in Greece
An earthquake measuring 5.3 in magnitude has struck off the coast of Greece, the European-Mediterranean Seismology Centre reported on its website.
According to the center, the epicenter of the earthquake was located 61 km southeast of the city of Thessaloniki, whose population exceeds 300 thousand people. The depth was 10 km.
There is no information about casualties or damage at this time.
Earlier, an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 occurred in Turkey. Seismic activity was recorded at 10:46 Moscow time, 46 km east of the city of Malatya.
At the same time, according to the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center, the earthquake's source was at a depth of 9 km. Later, Turkish authorities reported that there were no casualties.
