Russians will be able to pay for purchases with smartphones via Bluetooth
The Wave service works on both Android and iOS and even works without the Internet.
The contactless payment systems Apple Pay and Google Pay will be replaced by the “Volna” service from the Mir card operator, based on Bluetooth Low Energy technology.
In addition, the service works on both Android and iOS. TASS reported that this method will allow you to pay for purchases even without the Internet.
This technology works with new types of payment terminals that support Bluetooth. The prototype of "Volna" was demonstrated by the National Payment Card System (NSPK) at the Finopolis forum.
According to NSPK representatives, about 20 banks are already ready to implement the new technology.
