A non-functioning storm drain could disrupt the start of the heating season in Vladivostok
A ditch with boiling water around house No. 21 on Let VLKSM Street, 40 was formed due to improper drainage of rainwater, DEITA.RU was informed in connection with the Primorsky Krai prosecutor's office.
An emergency occurred in this area yesterday. During the final stage of the heating network reconstruction, the flooded pipe trays on the territory of a residential building were filled with boiling water. The enterprise JSC "DGC" diverted water from the communications area to install new pipes, but drainage was not possible due to the fact that the storm sewer "could not cope with its functions." The water had to be pumped out using special equipment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
According to eyewitnesses, the sewer blockage was cleared only at 19:00.
The Prosecutor's Office of the Pervomaysky District of Vladivostok guarantees that the work on modernizing the heating mains will be completed on time, and the heating season will begin on October 23, the date specified for the housing stock (heating in social institutions must be provided today). . . The regulator will also check to what extent local governments comply with the requirements of the law when servicing storm sewer systems that lose electricity at critical moments. Based on the results of the inspection, we plan to take countermeasures.
In the telegram chat of the city head Konstantin Shestakov, residents of the microdistrict noted that all storm drains in the area of the Pyatachok market, opposite the house of 21-year-old Komsomol 40 years old, are clogged with leaves. Deleted.
By mid-2023, 115 km of the city's 300 storm sewer networks could be identified as part of the inventory, of which only 15 km had been cleaned.
