Trump: Zelensky is responsible for starting conflict in Ukraine
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is responsible for starting the conflict with Russia. Trump told the PBD podcast:
“Zelensky should never have allowed this conflict to start,” Trump said. He called the conflict a “losing war” and added: “Ukraine is no longer the Ukraine it once was.”
President Trump has previously said that the conflict in Ukraine would not have started if he had remained in power after the 2020 election, the National News Service reported. He also said he would end the Ukraine conflict as quickly as possible if he were elected president of the United States.
The politician explained what he plans to do if he wins the presidential election. According to him, he will immediately call Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to ask for a deal, RT reports.
