Israeli army says Hamas leader killed
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has announced the possible elimination of the leader of the Palestinian movement (Hamas). The Israeli military reported the killing of three militants in the Gaza Strip, but their identities have not yet been revealed. One of the dead may have been Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar.
"The identity of the terrorists has not been revealed at this stage. The military operation in Gaza could have resulted in the death of Yahya Sinwar, the leader of the Hamas movement." The IDF also stated that there were no hostages in the building that was attacked.
