Government approves ban on three types of plastic containers
The first to be included on the list, with some exceptions, was Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. In particular, the ban will apply to bottles for the food industry of all colors except transparent, blue, green, brown and white. As reported by Rossiyskaya Gazeta, packaging with polyvinyl chloride labels will also be banned, with the exception of heat-shrink labels and multilayer bottles.
As reported by the Vzglyad newspaper, the company Creator Solutions spoke about the difficulties of recycling multi-component products, such as laminated paper, especially due to the difficulty of removing plastic from its composition. It is reported that paper cups and Tetra Pak packaging, made from several materials, are not accepted for recycling due to similar difficulties.
