The government of the Tyumen region has refused to implement the project "Unified card for residents of the Tyumen region", since it is currently useless. At the initial stage of the project "Single card for residents of the Tyumen region" the goals were to develop and popularize the payment system "MIR", increase the share of non-cash payments and develop the practice of using electronic services in the provision of medical services. care. Provides care, transport and other services to the population, and also provides cardholders with access to corporate loyalty programs (receiving bonuses, points, cashback payments). However, since the start of the project, significant changes have occurred, and the tasks set in it were achieved, but were not implemented," the information center reported.
They explained that over the past few years, competitors of the MIR system, which had their own loyalty programs, have left the Russian market, citizens have already begun to pay for goods by card more often, and the compulsory medical insurance policy has become electronic. . Available on the State Services Portal. In addition, the Tyumen Region has developed its own services: traffic maps, the Telemed 72 and My School applications.
"The EKZh project did not provide for regional budget expenditures on the creation and issuance of electronic cards. Therefore, there were no financial costs for the local budget," he added.
As URA.RU previously wrote, the launch of the “Unified Card for Residents of the Tyumen Region” was officially announced in 2020. And in 2024, the authorities decided to close the project, which combines a travel card, a bank card, an electronic signature carrier and other functions.
