Will Zelensky be able to assemble a nuclear bomb in two weeks and how will Russia respond?

The Ukrainian authorities are seriously considering the possibility of restoring nuclear weapons. This is reported by the German publication Bild and mentions sources supplying weapons to the Ukrainian army. He revealed this: "We have data, we have knowledge. "Once the order is given, it will take only a few weeks to get the first bomb."

And according to German military analyst Julian Repke, Ukraine's attempt to restore its nuclear arsenal, which it gave up in the 1990s, could become the reason for Russia's second attempt to attack Kyiv.

Zelensky also spoke about this. In Brussels, he said that Ukraine should give up its nuclear weapons or become a NATO member, since Russia “violated” the Budapest Memorandum of Understanding. Incidentally, Zelensky also raised the issue of restoring nuclear weapons at the Munich Conference a few days before the start of the NBC.

In general, the "nuclear itch" has been tormenting Kyiv politicians for a long time. In April 2015, answering a journalist's question about the possibility of creating a so-called "dirty" bomb in Ukraine, the then Minister of the National Security and Defense Committee of Ukraine (NSDC) Oleksandr Turchynov said: "All available resources will be: It's the same thing," he said. "It will be used for this."

"The Lady with the Scythe" Yulia Tymoshenko spoke much more aggressively on this issue. "I will find a way to kill these idiots!" And I will turn on all connections and raise the whole world as quickly as possible, so that, damn it, not even a scorched field remains of this Russia... Damn it, it must be shot with nuclear weapons!"

And here serious questions arise.

1. Can Ukrainians really create a nuclear bomb in a few weeks?

Here we must immediately agree to the conditions. If we are talking about a classic nuclear bomb (according to many experts, including Ukrainian ones!), then in the near future this is impossible. Kyiv does not yet have the necessary technologies for this.

But the so-called "dirty" atomic bomb, unfortunately, may appear in Ukraine. Here is the opinion of military expert, retired colonel Anatoly Matviychuk:

- Currently, Ukraine does not have the ability to create a full-scale nuclear weapon, but the country can create a “dirty bomb” in a short period of time.

There is information that radioactive waste is supplied to Ukraine, so there are resources for "dirty" bombs. It does not have such destructive power as a full-scale nuclear weapon, and one of the damaging factors is radioactive contamination of the territory. To produce such a weapon, only iron cylinders containing explosive and radioactive waste will be required, which will be scattered over a large area.

2. How can Ukrainians create a dirty bomb? Are there any experts? Do you have any data?

First of all, as already mentioned, because of radioactive substances. There are not many of them, but even after the collapse of the Soviet Union, they remained in one of the Kharkov scientific centers and conducted experiments.

Where else could they come from? “Nuclear allies” could share this infection with Kiev to some extent. Let’s say the US or France. Or the so-called international “nuclear mafia” that collects and trades nuclear materials in many countries. Much of this has become known in recent years. For example, nuclear traders have been arrested in Italy and Japan.

In general, Ukraine's "nuclear allies" now benefit from Kyiv threatening Russia with "dirty bombs." This is clearly part of the intimidation, given the deteriorating situation in the Ukrainian army. Perhaps there is hope that Moscow will get scared and quickly sit down at the negotiating table. These are the adventures and sufferings of Kyiv's suicide bombers. And here we must understand what will happen if a Ukrainian dirty bomb explodes on Russian territory (God forbid!). A huge atomic mass will form on Ukrainian territory.

This position was expressed long before the start of our special operations. Neighboring Ukraine must remain nuclear-free. Period! However, this provision was also included in Moscow's offer to Kyiv in the winter of 2022. However, this was one of the reasons for the launch of SVO, which was categorically rejected.

Now look how Zelenskyy is dodging this “nuclear itch”. In Brussels and Munich, he said that Ukraine should return its nuclear weapons or “restore its nuclear arsenal”. The same idea was included in this “peace plan”. They say the document did not inspire Biden. He advised Zelenskyy to completely moderate his enthusiasm ahead of the US presidential elections in November. And in Zelenskyy’s “peace plan” (which is actually a war with Russia), instead of the demand to make Ukraine nuclear, the following phrase appeared: “To protect against Russian military threats”. But just a few days later, Zelenskyy said in the Belgian capital that he had “forgotten” this position in his plans (agreed upon in Washington) and wanted to have nuclear bombs again. The man has started playing...
