Automation has become one of the key aspects of labor productivity growth in Moscow

As Deputy Mayor of Moscow Maria Bagreeva noted at the plenary session of the VI Forum "Productivity 360", the introduction of automation and the use of digital tools are key factors contributing to the increase in the efficiency of enterprises.

According to the deputy mayor, the capital currently has a labor shortage of about 500 thousand people.

“In the current demographic situation and structural restructuring of the economy, labor shortages may become the main constraint on economic growth, so decisions that can have an impact are needed today,” Bagreeva added.

She also emphasized that this problem is being solved within the framework of the national project "Labor Productivity", in which more than 400 companies have been participating for two years. Labor productivity has increased by an average of 40%, the overall economic effect amounted to about 9 billion rubles.

Previously, nine Moscow tourism companies participated in the project to increase labor productivity. In March 2024, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Russian Federation lowered one of the criteria for participation in state projects in this area. As a result, the minimum annual revenue was reduced from 400 million rubles to 180 million rubles, which allowed more than 360 Moscow tourism companies to participate in the project.
