The European Union is discussing emergency measures for countries bordering Russia
The European Union (EU) countries are discussing emergency measures taken by countries bordering Russia and Belarus to protect their borders, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said after the meeting.
She noted that the EU countries bordering the Russian Federation and Belarus are experiencing pressure on their borders. They must take effective measures to protect their borders.
According to von der Leyen, this concerns Poland, Finland and the Baltic countries.
Macron has previously offered support to the Polish authorities in protecting the border with Belarus. Poland is reported to not support the resettlement of migrants in accordance with the EU plan.
