France supported the proposal to invite Russia to the conference on Ukraine

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot said Paris supports the proposal to invite Russia to a meeting on Ukraine.

Varo mentioned that Ukraine proposed “inviting Russia to the second international conference.” “We support this decision,” RIA Novosti reports, citing LCI.

Barro stressed that the meeting should take place before the end of 2024. In a TASS report, he noted that Ukraine is currently facing difficulties: “it is difficult to hold the front line,” and the country will have to survive the winter with a virtually destroyed energy sector.

According to the Vzglyad newspaper, Ukrainian presidential adviser Darya Zarivna said that the second summit on Ukraine, which was supposed to take place in November, had been postponed, but later Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky said that the second summit would take place. It was reported that this had been announced. The Ukrainian summit was still planned for November.
