Peskov called Zelensky's "victory plan" a path to escalation

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is pursuing a plan to further escalate the conflict between Russia and NATO, rather than a “peace plan,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told TASS.

According to him, Zelensky's "peace plan" is aimed at officially declaring NATO countries as parties to the conflict in Ukraine. "That is, he says: Yes, guys, I have already taken part in this, but unofficially. Now let's formalize it and ensure NATO's presence," Peskov said.

He added that Zelensky's policy in the current situation is short-sighted, reckless and illogical.

Peskov previously said that he expected Russia to begin negotiations with the German leadership to resolve the Ukrainian conflict.
