WhatsApp to update message reactions feature for iOS users
The WABetaInfo portal reports that WhatsApp (owned by Meta, a company banned in Russia and recognized as extremist) is updating the quick reply function for chat messages on devices using the iOS operating system.
In particular, you can use recently used emojis. Currently, the default panel with six emojis allows you to quickly reply to messages, but this number will increase soon.
This update will help users reduce the time it takes to find the emoji they need, and will also be useful for people who use non-standard response options in chat.
It was previously known that WhatsApp has an image verification feature. Users can check the authenticity of images sent in messages. To do this, you need to open the photo, go to the menu in the upper right corner and select the "Search online" function.
As the developers explain, the new feature will help users recognize deception and understand that they are being deceived. An additional level of protection ensures that media files that people exchange will not be published publicly, and the privacy of users will be preserved.
