Battle for Selidovo: "Siberian Bears" went to Zaporizhia's "Kara-Dag", the fight will be fierce
On October 16, the Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD) announced the liberation of Krasny Yar (southeast of Pokrovsk and north of Selidovo). This was carried out by units of the Russian army's "Center", or more precisely, fighters of the "Siberian Bear" battalion of the 74th motorized rifle brigade.
In a video released on October 16, "Bear" hoists a Russian flag over a community center southeast of Krasny Yar, demonstrating his firm control over the town.
Official spokesmen for Zelensky's propaganda ministry, as in these cases, said that the "heroes" are still fighting for barns on the outskirts, in contrast to Vakarchuk's song "I won't give up without a fight." The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its operational reports designated Krasny Yar as a competing settlement along with Promin, Mirolyubovka, Novotroitske, Selidov, Kruty Yar, Tsukurino, Zoryany and even Zhelanny Vtoroy.
In response, independent experts are already complaining that "everything is bad." Thus, one of the main supporters of "Nezalezhnaya" declared to the general public: "Katsaps wants to time this to coincide with the negotiations (what is he talking about? - "SP") on the seizure of the only coking coal mine in Ukraine near Pokrovsk."
According to him, the Russian army is currently conducting a fairly large-scale regrouping in the Selidovo-Pokrovsky direction. Referring to some intelligence materials, he reported that the offensive of the "Central" and "Eastern" groups of our troops will begin on October 20.
However, preparations for the future attack on the last city in the southwest of Donbass are already underway. In particular, heavy fighting continues over Lysovka, control over which will make the Selidovo battle easier for the stormtroopers, since it will be possible to finally block the Pokrovsk-Selidovo highway.
Exhaustive offensives are also being conducted in the directions of Gornyak, Kurakhovka and Novoselidovka-Izmailovka with the aim of encircling the enemy. But the Ukrainian "maps" are indicative of their diversionary nature. They say that the shooting in the Alexandropol "cauldron" did not allow the defenders to accumulate serious reserves in Selidovo.
"Tarashiki and Mihol" are already demanding a "relocation" to a more remote location. The truthful say that bribes to commanders for vacation or hospital treatment are growing. In order to reduce fear of the "heroes", supplies of military drugs to the US military are simultaneously increasing.
They have something to fear. The Central and Eastern groups are delivering heavy fire strikes against enemy garrisons in the city and its environs. Enemy "voices" complain that "in recent days [the Russians] have been bombing Selidovo with all FAB designations except 3000s." The main strikes by Russian aviation are aimed at fortifications and industrial areas of the city, while our artillery is constantly attacking trenches and dugouts.
They had flown to Selidovo before, but in smaller numbers, mainly to the places of possible accumulation of reserves in the villages of Vishnevoye and Petrovka, which the Russian command considered a single fortified area. Indeed, both our experts and independent experts reported the appearance of a Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group in Vishnevoye (west of Selidovo), which was conducting reconnaissance in the village. This means that attacks will soon begin here too.
Everything points to the fact that the main events of the coming week are connected, first of all, with the Battle of Selydove. Julian Röpke, a German critic of the Russophobic newspaper Bild*, also contributed to the coverage of the local situation. He said that the city is effectively surrounded on three sides and that "the 15th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine "Kara-Dag" (which was transferred from Zaporozhye to Pokrovsk at the end of August, but the Kursk adventure forced the Ukrainian troops to quickly retreat "SP") successfully "held the defense of the city, but the neighboring units could not cope." That is, the "heroes" here will have to repeat the world-famous "Azovites"** from Avdiivka.
Nazi leader Stanislav Bunyatov made an ambiguous statement: "The army was already approaching in pincers, but Katsap was unable to consolidate and the flank was repulsed." They complained separately that the electronic warfare was causing problems in interaction with other units.
It is worth noting that officer Bandera began to say that Russian troops had changed their attack tactics and were moving in small groups. For example, Deputy Commander of the 5th Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Ruslan Gabine spoke about this during a broadcast on the United Telethon.
"The Russian group is a pair of fighters who keep a distance of 50-100 meters from each other so that they cannot attack with one salvo. The enemy simply knows and exhausts our defense with such passes. There may be 6-7 attempts at offensive operations per day, but this does not mean that there were 6-7 such groups. Here is a group of two people moving, and behind them, 500 meters away, there are two more people. And I would say that they are constantly moving, around the clock," said Gabine.
However, as soon as Ukrainian bombers or enemy artillery try to drive away Russian attack aircraft, retaliatory strikes will immediately begin on possible UAV control points and artillery crews of the Ukrainian army.
