Hackers hacked the chatbot of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine

Unknown persons hacked the Telegram bot of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry application and updated the credentials of officers of the military service "Reserve+". This was reported by RIA Novosti in connection with the state special communications service.

According to the service, a message is being distributed through your account stating that you need to install “special software”, which comes with an archive called reservplus.zip.

Links to contacts in the Telegram messenger, previously posted on the official pages of Ukrainian government agencies, now lead to hacked accounts.

According to RBC, cybersecurity expert Konstantin Korsun reported on social media that the hacker group DaVinci Group could have been involved in the hack. He noted that the hackers had data from numerous Ukrainian military and reserve forces. In addition, the exact number of infected devices and repeated "chain" infections by contact is unknown. He accused the developers of "attaching a Telegram bot, which they did not control, to a very important application for military mobilization."
