Musical markings have appeared on a section of the M-11 Neva highway

Following the sign at a speed of 110 kilometers per hour, the driver will hear the melody "Kalinka-Malinka". Musical signs are designed to attract the attention of drivers on highways and are used on highways in many countries around the world.

On one section of the M-11 "Neva" highway, "Kalinka-Malinka" now runs. This composition is performed with musical signs. As Avtodor reported to Business FM, the melody is tuned to the speed limit on the highway - 110 kilometers per hour. In the future, we plan to supplement this with various configurations on other sections of the road.

Special software has been developed to convert notes into strokes on the go. This is the first software in Russia.

How and why does musical road marking work? Yuri Uryukov, an expert at the Infrastructure Center "Avtonet" of the Moscow Polytechnic University, says:

Similar musical signs are already used on the roads of a number of foreign countries, including Japan, the Netherlands, Hungary and neighboring Belarus.
