A watchman in the Voronezh region grew more than 100 hemp trees for personal use.
Law enforcement officials learned that the 58-year-old agricultural inspector was growing cannabis at his home on Lenin Avenue in Liski. According to the local Department of Internal Affairs, during searches, police found 113 plants containing drugs.
The economist-pharmacist conscientiously looked after the plants. Another 1717 grams of finished marijuana were also found on the territory.
The prisoner pleaded guilty. He said he was growing cannabis for personal use.
The suspect was kept on the premises. A criminal trial has begun on charges of illegal drug cultivation and illegal drug possession. The "agronomists" face up to 10 years in prison.
