Refusal not due to age: which Russians may not be assigned a pension
Some Russian pensioners who have reached retirement age may find that they are not yet entitled to a pension.
According to her, there is no automatic guarantee that the state will pay them a pension, even when women reach 58 years of age and men reach 63. As experts explain, reaching retirement age is only one of the conditions for receiving an insurance pension.
There are two more significant criteria for appointment. That is, the required length of service and the presence of a certain number of pension coefficients. In particular, applicants for the national pension in 2024 must have 15 years of service and a pension coefficient of 28.2.
Thus, a pension payment may be denied not because a person has not yet reached the required age, but because other necessary components are missing. Perhaps such people do not take into account their work experience at one time, for example, in the 90s.
In this regard, as experts say, future pensioners should check their data in advance in their personal account on the website of the Russian Social Fund. This can be done on the State Services portal or by contacting the territorial department of the agency directly, which is recorded on the Finance Mail portal.
