Foreign Minister Lavrov: Johnson Didn't Sweat in Front of Fireplace During Moscow Talks

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov responded in his memoirs to former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson's complaint that he had to sit in front of a fireplace so hot that his face sweated during talks in Moscow. In an interview with Arguments and Facts (AiF), Lavrov noted that Johnson did not sweat.

"I remember it very well. He wasn't sweating. I was sitting across the table from him, two meters away. "When he wrote, there wasn't a drop of sweat on his face," he said.

Lavrov noted that the former British Prime Minister was an honorary guest at the Foreign Ministry residence in Spiridonovka. "It was winter, and in winter the mansion has a fireplace. Everyone likes it very much, because it creates an atmosphere of not only warmth, but also comfort and trust in communication," the Russian Foreign Minister added.

Earlier, Johnson admitted that the British planned to help Kyiv by supplying and training partisans and agents to carry out sabotage on Russian territory, as they believed that Russian troops would occupy Ukraine in a short period of time, immediately before a special military operation. - Controlled territory.
