The Governor intends to create a world-class inter-university campus in Voronezh

The strategic session discussed the prospects for creating a world-class inter-university campus in Voronezh. The event was attended by the rectors of the five largest universities in Voronezh and specialists from the Innopraktika company. Governor Alexander Gusev reported on the results of the discussion on his Telegram channel.
By 2030, Russia plans to build about 30 campuses within the framework of the national project "Sciences and Universities". It will unite the scientific, human and entrepreneurial potential of universities, companies and countries.
Experts suggested focusing on agricultural biotechnology at the Voronezh campus. Research results show that the campus will allow studying genetics and selection of plants and animals, researching biotechnology in crop and livestock production, developing agricultural UAVs, and introducing artificial intelligence into the agricultural sector.
For now, as the regional director notes, the Voronezh campus project exists only in theory. It still needs to be finalized, and for this we need to find funding and a reliable partner. During the strategic session, the participants discussed the difficulties that may arise, including the subordination of the university to various ministries, land allocation, etc.
The Governor also noted that these projects need to be discussed, although they are still far from being implemented.
The Governor emphasized the interest of local businesses in the agro-industrial complex. This can be seen in the example of the creation of agricultural classes in the Voronezh Region and targeted training in local universities.
