"It Could Have Been Less": Residents of the Northwestern Federal District on their Attitude to Labor Migrant Workers

The hh.ru research service conducted a survey among residents of the Northwestern Federal District to find out how they feel about labor migrants.

According to 76% of respondents, there could be fewer foreigners in their area. In addition, respondents from the transport and logistics (92%), automobile (91%), security (89%) and construction (85%) industries were the most likely to say that there were too many immigrants.

On the contrary, another 4% said that there could be more migrant workers. This opinion is shared by workers in the fields of marketing, catering and tourism, raw materials extraction, retail trade and IT specialists.

It is interesting to note that 50% of residents of the Northwestern Federal District believe that immigrants are looking for work.

Earlier, 78.ru wrote that the demand for kindergarten teachers in St. Petersburg increased by 43%. Since the beginning of the year, more than 27 thousand vacancies have appeared in the city.
