"Talked to the sparrows": the killer of a baby in Khimmash was detained in an inadequate state

Law enforcement officers arrested 45-year-old Yekaterinburg resident Dmitry Kuchin, who killed his one-and-a-half-month-old grandson, after he asked passersby for cigarettes in Khimmash. When he was arrested, the man talked to a sparrow and a wall, but they did not resist. This was reported to URA.RU by the head of the press service of the Sverdlovsk Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Valery Gorelykh.

"When the police detained a citizen for inadequate aggressive behavior, this citizen behaved, to put it mildly, strangely. He tried to talk to the sparrows jumping on the asphalt, and to the wall, and to himself. "He did not resist the detention," Colonel Gorelik explained, noting that the rapid response group worked flawlessly during the detention.

The Investigative Committee of the Sverdlovsk Region added that Kuchin was questioned by experts and Kuchin partially admitted his guilt. A police representative emphasized: "We plan to conduct a forensic psychiatric examination of the persons involved in the investigation." The investigation plans to apply to the court with a petition to detain the Yekaterinburg resident.

On the night of October 16, a massacre of newborns occurred. The child was crying, and the grandfather got angry. Kuchin grabbed the child by the legs and hit the child's head against the wall and the door frame several times with all his might. At that moment, his grandmother, mother, older brother and older sister were in the apartment. There was no one to protect the newborn child. More details about the brutal crime and the killer are on URA.RU and in a separate story.
