Visitors will be able to see more than 300 paintings and graphic works by Karl Bryullov. A particularly valuable exhibit is the painting "The Last Day of Pompeii", which was restored over the course of nine months.

The exhibition will also feature the work "Christ in the Tomb". The painting was confiscated as evidence in a case of smuggling cultural property in the early 2000s. But thanks to the efforts of the secret services, it returned to Russia.

The exhibition will be on display in the northern capital for six months and will then be moved to Moscow.

Earlier, 78.ru wrote that the exhibition “Petersburg Diagnosis” will be held at the Anna Akhmatova Museum in the Fountain House.
