Photos from the mountain where a NSU student died in a rockfall have been published
The Investigative Committee for the Altai Republic published photographs taken on October 14 of a group of Novosibirsk residents on a mountain that was hit by a rockfall. As a result of the incident, 18-year-old Margarita Sh. died and two others were injured.
Rescuers approached the tourists on foot. On October 15, they were all evacuated.
The investigator opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (provision of services resulting in death due to failure to comply with the requirements for the safety of life or health of the consumer).
"Currently, comprehensive investigations and other procedural actions are being conducted in criminal cases in order to establish all the circumstances of the case and collect and record the evidence base," the statement said.
