Trump's running mate suggests replacing Harris with Biden

James David Vance suggested after the interview that Democrats replace Harris with Biden.

US Republican vice presidential candidate James David Vance has suggested replacing Vice President Kamala Harris with incumbent President Joe Biden in the upcoming elections after an interview with Fox News, TASS reports.

Kamala Harris became the first Democratic candidate in eight years to give an interview to Fox News, drawing criticism from Republicans. Previously, Donald Trump and James David Vance have repeatedly noted their reluctance to talk to reporters and their rare interviews, considering this an attempt to hide their incompetence.

Meanwhile, a Rasmussen Reports poll found Harris leading Donald Trump by 1 percentage point, with 48% of voters supporting Trump and 47% supporting Harris. The poll of more than 2,000 likely voters, conducted Oct. 10 and Oct. 13-15, found that 3% were willing to vote for another candidate, while 3% were undecided. The poll had a 2% margin of error.

Earlier, Donald Trump's campaign team criticized Kamala Harris' interview with Fox News, saying: "We failed to respond to pressure from the President of the United States." Harris said that if elected, she would not continue Biden's line, but would present a new approach to governing the country, emphasizing her life experience and new ideas. US Vice President Kamala Harris expressed confidence that, despite domestic problems, the United States must continue to provide international support to strengthen national security and the country's global role.
