Putin to fly to Ufa for Russia – Sports Power forum: what the president will visit
UFC, October 17, FederalPress. On October 17, the XII International Forum "Russia - a Sports Power" kicked off in the capital of Bashkortostan, with 5,000 delegates from 100 countries taking part. For the first time, Ufa was chosen as the venue by decision of President Vladimir Putin. The heads of state will personally participate in this large-scale sporting event.
He explained that we are talking about modern universal sports complexes: wrestling palaces, fencing centers and canoe slalom complexes.
Within the framework of the forum, more than 40 events will be held in just three days at eight venues in the capital of Bashkortostan. These include sports competitions, cultural programs and business meetings. A separate meeting of the Commission under the President of the Russian Federation for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports will be held.
Last year, the forum was hosted by Perm, and in 2025 it will be held in Samara. Sports competitions have been held since 2009. Since then, after Moscow, forums have been held in several more cities in the Volga region: Kazan, Saransk, Cheboksary, Ulyanovsk and Nizhny Novgorod.
